From the eastern highlands of Sri Lanka, in the Uva region, this black tea is grown at elevations of 1,000–1,200 meters above sea level. The region is defined by strong seasonal winds and significant day-night temperature fluctuations. These conditions slow leaf growth and increase the concentration of aromatic compounds.
Young Camellia sinensis var. assamica leaves are used. The combination of climate and cultivar results in a naturally firmer structure and a clear, dry astringency - a hallmark of the Uva style, valued for its clarity and brisk character.
The aroma shows notes of citrus peel and light honey. The palate is clean, with a dry, long-lasting finish. This is a classic high-grown Sri Lankan black tea that reflects its regional climate and disciplined processing.
